Linear Building Up in the Trees

Linear Building Up in the Trees is a complex consisting of a parking lot, outdoor theater, and a connecting footbridge. It was conceives as an attempt to “make the parking lot less obtrusive” and tackles this issue by raising pedestrians’ line of sight above the parking lot. The tubular bridge connects the parking lot and the theater.

Anyang Pavilion

Designed by the renowned Portuguese Architect, Alvaro Siza Vieira, Anyang Pavilion has a unique spatial structure that is perceived differently from a variety of angles. The pavilion is currently being used as APAP’s hub. inside are indoor exhibits and a library, as well as a booth where visitors can book tours.

Anyang Peak

An observatory built in the shape of a spiraling path that extends from two contours of Mt. Samseong, Anyang Peak is MYRDV’s attempt to translate abstract data into a concrete shape. Those who walk along the path are treated to a breathtaking view of the entire park.

Dimensional Mirror Labyrinth

A circular labyrinth
House of Lights made of mirrored columns, this piece combines the Christian tradition of pilgrimage with Anyang’s rich Buddhist heritage. The mirrors, symbolizing the 108 Defilements of Buddhism, reflext light against one another and guide those who’ve ventured within deeper into the labyrinth.
